The Flower is a work that Dante Alighieri composed in his youth, translated from the French “Roman De La Rose”. As the first to interpret the piece, the Florentine painter reaches significant heights: Adam enters the paradise of Dante’s eroticism, during an intoxicating, adventure, as happens for every sentimental relationship that regards the first fruits and youth, the past no longer counts; it is forgotten so that one can look toward a horizon consisting of torment and ecstasy, pessimism and optimism, heart and reason.
